Tung Oil

Tung Oil is an excellent top coat over Milk Paint for exterior painted projects.

This is a pure unpolymerized tung oil. This means that instead of it being filled with solvent, you are getting pure oil.

Tung Oil is a natural wood finishing oil, excellent for interior and exterior projects. Highly resistant to water and abrasion, it is the most durable of all the natural oils.

Tung Oil leaves a matte finish that does not yellow over time. The lustre (sheen) can increase with extra coats and burnishing.

This finish is preferred for exterior coatings, especially when looking to protect paint finishes like Milk Paint by Fusion.

It is not necessary to thin this product, however it is beneficial for absorbing into bare wood.

Apply a generous  coat with a stain pad, cotton cloth or brush.  Very Important: After 15 minutes remove any and all excess oil with a cloth.

Apply 2-4 coats for full protection of the wood surface.  Dry in 24-48 hours.
